What is a Live Chat Agent?

A Live Chat Agent is a member of the Bambu Earth Customer Experience team that works on the digital front lines to answer customer questions and inquiries through our live chat medium. They will use quick and sincere communication to assist customers and increase sales for the brand. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility under pressure, be both empathetic and teachable, and have a charisma that translates through text-based communication. 

What is a Content Curator?

The Content Curator takes full responsibility for Bambu Earth’s organic content generation strategy. The blog (or a different platform of your choosing and proving) is your domain and your playground: in it, feel free to test myriad methods of communication, from videos of Amber, podcasts of engaging speakers, forums for contestable topics, editorials, opinions, datasets, visualizations, photo essays and art. The purpose of Bambu Earth’s blog is to generate a large asset library for SEO across a broad range of topics, and as the Content Curator, your role is to oversee robust SEO growth as a mechanism to increase Bambu Earth’s sales and serve its customers by creating original content, editing existing content, and facilitating new content generation through other Bambu Earth employees and guest contributors. 


Primary responsibilities:

  • Be online and active for a set 25 hour/week period to answer questions and assist customers with their needs through Chat and other Customer Service Channels.
  • Be quick and sincere in your responses - always making sure the customer feels understood.
  • Anticipate customers’ needs through a deep understanding of the brand and what a typical customer is looking for in their journey.
  • Combine friendliness and charisma to increase sales by pointing customers to solutions and products that best fit their respective situations.
  • Track, document, and report consistent issues to brand managers to help guide customer service focus, and provide strategic insights on how we can serve our customers better.
  • Facilitate content creation for the blog in an organized and self-starter approach, and generate a content calendar provided to Amber and other creators with reasonable notice. 
  • Moderate blog engagement, and measure and optimize the blog’s performance.

This position will require computer competency and strong communication skills. The ability to compile and analyze data is a plus. This is a great environment to learn the ins and outs of ECommerce, if that’s an environment you want to grow in. The expectation is that a Live Chat Agent will work the same 5-hour shift each day on Monday-Friday, and fill the remaining time with their Content Curator responsibilities.
